What You’ll Do:
The Controller serves as a key member of the leadership team, providing strategic financial management, oversight, and operational guidance to ensure the organization’s fiscal integrity and long-term sustainability. This role oversees accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while driving continuous improvement in financial systems, internal controls, and processes.

The Controller partners closely with the CEO and senior leadership to align financial strategies with organizational goals, providing insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making and responsible growth.
  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and monthly close processes.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Develop, implement, and manage budgeting and forecasting processes that align with strategic objectives.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business planning, operational efficiency, and cost management.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and risk management practices to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with leadership to develop financial strategies that support organizational growth and sustainability.
  • Manage audit processes and relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
  • Oversee cash flow management, revenue recognition, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Develop, monitor, and report key financial and operational performance metrics.
  • Lead and mentor members of the finance and accounting team, fostering professional development and accountability.
  • Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO and executive team, offering insights on organizational performance and opportunities for improvement.
Must Have’s:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • 2–4 years of high-level accounting, finance management, or controller experience required.
  • Prior experience leading accounting operations and managing budgets, audits, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, compliance requirements, and internal control best practices.

  • Experience in a healthcare, services, or technology-enabled organization preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to mentor and inspire.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker who can translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across departments and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency with financial software systems and advanced Excel skills.
Compensation:
  • The range of base salary for this role is between $150,000-$175,000 plus benefits. Please note that base salary is a guideline and will vary based on factors such as work location, qualifications, skill level, and competencies. Additionally, salary is just one component of Bardavon’s total rewards package. Depending on the role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program and/or incentive pay.
