We're looking for a senior credit analyst to join our credit team. You will be responsible for underwriting the creditworthiness of our potential B2B borrowers, using a mix of financial analysis and data analytics.

What You’ll Do
- Assess the credit risk of companies by analyzing their qualitative and quantitative financial information, developing credit approval memos, and presenting insights and recommendations for Loan Committee.
- Complete financial models to determine investment amounts and terms for companies approved for funding.
- Meet with CEOs of the companies that are seeking funding, and manage the full lifecycle of a deal including the funding evaluation process and due diligence.
- Identify alternative ways to assess risk that accelerates and improves our underwriting decisions.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual underwriting processes, and test out new hypotheses to streamline processes.
- Assist in optimizing and developing innovative financial products based on customer insights that are driven by data.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (i.e., Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics/Physics, Computer Science, Business) or MBA.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial underwriting with a Commercial Bank credit/underwriting team, Fintech risk/credit team, or investment/credit risk team of an asset manager/credit fund/hedge fund.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Adept at assessing company financial risks, including downside and sensitivity analysis.
- You know financial statements inside out.
- Mastery of Excel.
- Bonus if you have experience analyzing and/or underwriting software companies (i.e., software financial metrics, business model).
- Passionate about early-stage investing, startups, and our mission to serve early-stage technology entrepreneurs is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
