Role Overview
  • Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development and Technology
  • The primary purpose of the Sr. IS Program Manager is to design and integrate technologies that effectively collect, store, access, and present information across the enterprise to enhance business processes, insights and decision-making,
  • As a Senior IS Program Manager at Vytelle, you will:
    • Be accountable for shaping the direction and success of our Vytelle.io SaaS application, CRM, ERP, their integrations and other IS applications as required.
    • Be accountable for managing all VARs and Integration Partners.
    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, sponsors and customers to develop roadmaps and project charters in order to deliver value to our users and business.
  • First Year Success Indicators:
    • 90 days:
      • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders and sponsors.
      • Establish strong relationships with VARs, Integration Partners and software development team.
      • Learn and understand the current state of development and backlog of the IS infrastructure, especially our Vytelle.io SaaS service.
      • Learn and understand our SENSE and ADVANCE products, and their operational and data capture processes.
      • Collect & itemize requirements for future epics of features for Vytelle.io from stakeholders (roadmap).
      • Recognized as a highly inquisitive person, highly organized and ability to prioritize an endless need for improvement and new features.
    • 6 months:
      • Firmly recognized as owner of the IS roadmap (priority on Vytelle.io).
      • Firmly recognized as relationship prime with VARs and Integration Partners.
      • Firmly recognized as IS leader and execution capable.
      • Firmly recognized as Agile and Iterative-Waterfall program knowledge expert.
      • Achieved at least 1 major feature milestone in the IS portfolio.
      • Created and presented IS 12-24 month roadmap to Executive Team.
  • Hardest Aspect of the Role:
    • Managing peer level and senior level stakeholders and sponsors in prioritizing epics, stories and/or major phases IS portfolio.
    • Prioritizing internal operational features against customer centric features.
  • Remote role, and travel as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic IS Vision:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define & implement the strategy for IS in support of Sales, Operations & Data warehousing needs.
    • Ensure alignment of IS programs within Vytelle’s business and scientific goals.
  • Program Oversight:
    • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive IS projects, from inception to deployment, ensuring they meet the unique demands of the bovine IVF and Feed Efficiency industries.
    • Coordinate the integration of cutting-edge technologies with existing systems, optimizing for efficiency and data integrity.
  • Data Management & Security:
    • Establish protocols for the secure collection, storage, and retrieval of sensitive IVF and, Feed Efficiency data.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices concerning data privacy and protection.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Engage with internal teams, including research, operations, and management, ensuring IS solutions cater to their specific needs.
    • Represent Vytelle's IS vision in discussions with external tech vendors, partners, and industry forums.
  • Resource Allocation:
    • Determine budgetary requirements for IS projects and oversee the allocation of resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion.
    • Guide the professional development of IS team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Monitor emerging technologies and trends within both IT and bovine IVF sectors to identify potential areas of adoption or innovation.
    • Implement feedback loops for ongoing system refinement and optimization.

Skills And Knowledge
  • Program/Project Development Skills:
    • Advocate for project management principles across the organization.

    • Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, is an asset.
    • Strong proficiency in product management/development tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Productboard, etc.
  • IS Application Skills:
    • Custom Web Application software principles and practices.
    • CRM principles and practices.
    • ERP principles and practices.
    • Other business primacy applications like HRIS, BI, etc.
    • Web app integration principles and practices.
    • Solid understanding of data privacy standards and security protocols.
  • Bovine (and Large Ruminant) Domain Experience (preferred):
    • Bovine IVF knowledge and insights.
    • Bovine Feed Efficiency technologies.
Experience And Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Agriculture Sciences or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in product management, with a demonstrated track record of delivering successful products.
  • 5-7+ years as a certified PMP, preferably from any industry.
  • 5-7+ years’ experience running or working within an Agile/Scrum environment and or Certified Scrum Master or other product management certifications.
  • 5-7+ years creating and managing software development stories and epics.
  • 2-3+ years documenting and leading teams to document the product development processes and key technical elements in a corporate WIKI.
  • 2-3+ years working in BI tools (Microsoft PowerBI).
  • 3-5+ years working in the Cattle, Dairy and/or BioTech industries (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
