Status: June and July 2024 (4 week internship)

Role Overview

As a Vytelle Intern, you will experience first-hand how our global team of industry experts are working to bring a new certainty to performance, health, and genetic progress. You will get to experience and perform a variety of different responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITEIS:

  • Travel to satellite locations with Vytelle veterinarian and embryologist - may include overnight travel.
  • Assist the embryologist prepare, maintain, and plan collection related tasks and equipment; adhere to standard collection workflow.
  • Observe and conduct oocyte quality assessment at collection; identify and assist in reporting any anomalies detected during collections.
  • Enter collection data electronically.
  • Observe and follow established IVF processes including plate preparation; oocyte collection and maturation; semen processing; embryo culture, evaluation, loading and freezing.
  • Assist with collection and semen processing data, assist with embryo production data records; maintain accurate labeling and traceability of media and embryo production.
  • Assist with lab maintenance; sanitize working areas and equipment; follow production inventory and LN2 management protocols; maintain processing equipment, glassware and plastic dishes and processing areas.
  • Ability to practice hands on with slaughter house oocyte collection, maturation, embryo culture, evaluation, loading, and freezing.

Experience And Qualifications

  • Current student enrolled at accredited U.S. school
  • Junior or Senior in college is preferred
  • Industry knowledge and a strong passion for IVF and/or eagerness to learn and commit
  • Laboratory experience in an academic setting is desired
  • Knowledge of oocyte, sperm and embryo biology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to details and technicalities
  • Excellent organizational and technical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
  • Travel as appropriate
  • Review and sign a non-disclosure agreement
